Website Evaluations

The first site I visited was for Country Place Elementary. I found the website to be fairly informative. It was really easy to navigate. The home page was really well put together. The picture with all the links was really cute. I think the site is useful for parents. All of the links are easy to find. They are able to look at everything from the library to lunch information. I don't know how useful the site would be to teachers there didn't seem to be any links that would be particularly helpful to them. I think that students would probably take advantage of the library access from home. All in all I thought that the site was pretty good.

The second site I visited was for Willowdale Elementary. This site was very well organized. It was very easy to navigate and had tons of information. This site would be useful for everyone. There are links specifically for parents and teachers. These links lead to helpful sites that the individual may not have any other way to find. The students showcase is something that the kids would enjoy. They can come home and show there parents what life is like for them at school and share some of their work.

The two sites were both pretty helpful. I thought that the second site was more adult friendly. I really didn't think that either site would be terribly appealing to children. Of the two I think Willowdale Elementary's site was more entertaining for children.

In addition to these two sites I visited Haude Elementary's site, which was my elementary school. The site itself was really pretty boring. There wasn't much about it that was pleasing to the eye. There was quite a bit of information for the parents and the teachers but as far as the students were concerned there was nothing really of interest. I think the other two sites were much more kid friendly than this one.
